In the 2030 framework of the Covenant of Mayors in Europe, alongside with taking action on mitigating climate change and adapting to its impacts, signatories commit to providing access to secure, sustainable and affordable energy to all their citizens. In the European context, this means taking action to alleviate energy poverty. ‘Alleviating energy poverty: Useful resources’ gathers information on projects funded by the European Union. Next to these, the publication includes information about energy monitoring tools, guidance materials, recommendations on how to involve citizens in energy poverty projects, how to finance your projects and various policy materials.
