The European Commission is launching the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub initiative as an extension of the Energy Communities Repository, with the goal of encouraging and enabling citizens, small businesses, farmers, and local governments to come together and form energy communities in European rural areas. Identifying best practices and providing technical help and networking opportunities to local stakeholders will be among the Advisory Hub's main responsibilities.
The launch will take place immediately following the Rural Pact Conference, and will focus on discussions about the EU's long-term rural strategy.
